Our Culture

Sustainability-Focused,
Family Atmosphere

Fort Wayne IBC Recycling is not a faceless corporation. We are a family-owned business where every team member knows every other team member by name. Our 18-person team works together daily on a shared mission: give every IBC tote a second life and keep plastic and steel out of Indiana's landfills.

That mission creates a sense of purpose that you do not find in most warehouse or logistics jobs. When you clean a tote, inspect a cage, or drive a delivery route, you are directly contributing to a circular economy that reduces waste, conserves resources, and saves businesses money. The environmental impact is tangible, measurable, and meaningful.

We are serious about safety — over 750 consecutive days without a lost-time incident — and we are serious about treating people well. Fair pay, real benefits, predictable schedules, and a workplace where your voice matters. Our employee turnover rate is well below the industry average because people enjoy working here and believe in what we do.

Employee Spotlight

Hear From Our Team

The best way to understand what it is like to work here is to hear directly from the people who do it every day.

"I started as a warehouse associate three years ago with zero experience in recycling. Today I am the lead quality inspector, and I have my forklift certification, hazmat handling training, and I am working toward my CDL. The company paid for every single certification. What I appreciate most is that management actually listens. When I suggested a better way to organize the staging area, they implemented it the next week. You are not just a worker here -- you are part of the operation."

Carlos M.

Lead Quality Inspector, 3 years at Fort Wayne IBC Recycling

"After 15 years driving for a big national carrier, I was tired of being gone from home for weeks at a time. This job gives me regional routes -- I am home every night or at most one night out. The pay is competitive with long-haul driving when you factor in that I am actually home for dinner with my family. The team at the warehouse treats drivers with respect, which is not something I experienced at my previous company. Plus, every load I deliver is keeping plastic out of a landfill. It feels good to do work that matters."

Mike D.

CDL Driver, 2 years at Fort Wayne IBC Recycling

Your Future Here

Growth Opportunities

We are a growing company in a growing industry. As we expand, so do the opportunities for our team members to advance, take on new responsibilities, and build long-term careers.

Warehouse to Leadership

Our warehouse associates are the backbone of the operation, and we promote from within whenever possible. Proven performers can advance to shift lead, quality inspector, or warehouse supervisor roles with corresponding pay increases.

Typical timeline: 12-24 months to first promotion

Driver to Route Manager

CDL drivers who demonstrate reliability and customer service excellence can move into route management, overseeing multiple drivers and coordinating delivery logistics across our entire service area.

Includes fleet coordination and customer account oversight

Sales Career Path

Sales representatives start with inside sales and progress to territory management, key account management, and eventually sales leadership. Commission structures increase at each level, and top performers earn uncapped bonuses.

Territory expansion as the business grows

Cross-Training

We encourage team members to learn multiple roles. A warehouse associate might train on the cleaning line, then learn inspection, then try their hand at inventory management. Cross-training makes you more valuable and keeps the work interesting.

Broadens your skills and career options

Industry Expertise

The industrial recycling and circular economy sectors are expanding rapidly nationwide. The knowledge you build here -- container reconditioning, hazmat handling, logistics management, sustainability reporting -- translates directly to career opportunities well beyond Fort Wayne.

Skills valued across the recycling industry

New Roles as We Grow

As our business expands into new service areas and geographic regions, new positions are created. Team members who have proven themselves in existing roles get first consideration for these new opportunities before we hire externally.
